Unit Overview:
This unit covers the visualisation and rapid processing of taxation data using analytics tools from Tableau. It covers taxation storytelling with data, creating digitised outputs from taxation data sets and assessing the impacts on tax report generation. It examines the technology and process integration strategies that are likely to be needed within organisations. The unit also covers the use of Tableau Storypoint, Tableau Pages and Flourish. It explores the applications of interactive Tableau dashboards and creating them. An assessment of user needs and their impacts on key metrics for visualisation of taxation data is also undertaken.
Risk mitigation strategies in the digitisation of taxation data as well as organisational transition challenges and solutions are evaluated. Organisational workflow and the visualisation process and problem statements are identified in the context of managing visualisation scope, biases and limitations. Dynamic data manipulation and presentation of visualisations, logic and stories for enterprise taxation are also studied and interpreted.
