 Unit Overview:
This unit introduces students to basic statistical concepts and methods that are widely used in economics, finance, accountancy, marketing and, more generally, business. The aim is to develop students’ abilities to assess and critically interpret statistics in a range of business settings.  Unit topics include: descriptive statistics; probability distributions; point and interval; estimation of parameters; hypothesis testing; and simple and multiple regression. Computer analysis using Excel in a key part of this unit
