 Unit Overview:
The Business Research Project provides an opportunity for each student to conduct investigative research in an area of business of interest and relevance. Students will combine knowledge and skills acquired in progressing through the core and elective business units in their Master’s course with knowledge and skills gained in STA601 Business Research Methods (or equivalent unit) to conduct a substantial research project in a topic of interest and produce a comprehensive final report which makes general conclusions or recommendations in relation to the research topic. Each student will derive their own research topic in consultation with staff, review relevant academic and professional literature, design the research method, investigate, write and present a paper, ideally of an equivalent standard as would be presented by proficient commercial business consultants. As a guide, it is expected that the research will primarily involve “desk research” and the collection and analysis of secondary data.
