 Unit Overview:
The aim of this unit is to provide students with a comprehensive introduction of management information systems from a business and managerial point of view. Students will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and understanding of the role of MIS in organisations, study relevant and current topics to the area, and examine the components that interact within MIS. The unit covers a range of topics, from strategic and competitive technology opportunities to the organisation and management of information using databases and data warehouses. It also provides a technical glimpse into the world of IT to help students better understand the impact of technologies on business and management.
