 Unit Overview:
This unit provides an in-depth coverage of finance theory and the tools of financial decision making in the context of the Australian institutional environment. This unit focuses on financial decisions made by companies. Students are required to understand and be able to apply corporate decisions which involve time value of money, asset management, capital structure, payout policy, financing decisions, portfolio theory and asset pricing. Emphasis is placed on applying principles in practice, the use of analytical techniques and explication by means of case studies.
