This unit provides students with an understanding of the practical usage and implementation of machine learning across the data assurance, accounting and cybersecurity sectors. It introduces the foundational principles of machine learning, cryptography and blockchain, along with the concepts of statistical learning and neural network learning. Through the exploration of real-world case studies from accounting and data assurance industries, this unit discusses the different systems integral to machine learning applications and their key functionalities and characteristics. It also examines the use of cryptography and blockchain in the development of secure and reliable data frameworks and systems.The unit delves into the intricacies of the training and learning processes in machine learning algorithms, as well as the implications of knowledge-intensive learning. Additionally, techniques for information retrieval and web navigation essential for data mining are assessed. It also reviews the advanced use of cryptography in securing data. |
