 Unit Overview:
This unit examines the complex issues relating to the analysis of business to ensure data security. It examines both business analysis and the cyber defence mechanisms needed by the organisation on the basis of its business operations.The unit addresses business analysis, malicious attacks, threats, and vulnerabilities and the various factors that affect information and systems security. It also evaluates business needs through technology-based business analysis. It covers both the advanced operational and the technological aspects of managing the security of data and systems in a complex business setting. The unit also provides an opportunity to interpret and analyse complex security risks and identify possible responses that align with the results of the business analysis. Cryptography and network security are also evaluated in the context of data security as well as various Australian and international information security standards.
