From stimulating discussions with our guest speakers to interactive sessions on polishing their professional image, students took significant steps toward enhancing their career readiness. They also had the opportunity to partake in professional headshots. These workshops, unique in their practical learning experiences, were led by individuals who were once international students themselves.
The students found it both encouraging and empowering to hear from industry professionals about their struggles as international students and how they made the most of the skills they had built. By the end of the session, the students who attended had not just gained knowledge, but also a significant boost in confidence. This is a testament to the importance and impact of these workshops for our students, and it’s something we’re incredibly proud of. As we continue to see the positive impacts of holding these workshops, we’re excited to continue hosting one each term and other similar career-focused events. At IMC, we pride ourselves on providing our students with enriching opportunities to thrive professionally outside the classroom. We aim to equip our students with the skills and resources they need to excel in their chosen fields through initiatives like the Career Ready Workshops.
