 Unit Overview:
This unit examines the complex issues relating to data security including malicious attacks, threats, and vulnerabilities and the various factors that affect information and systems security. It covers both the advanced operational and the technological aspects of managing the security of data and systems in a complex business setting. The unit also provides an opportunity to interpret and analyse complex security risks and identify possible responses with the applications of data analytics, big data mining and programming skills in cybersecurity. Cloud and network security are also evaluated in the context of data security as well as various Australian and international information security standards.
