Our Sydney campus is located in South Eveleigh and is part of the Redfern inner-city area. The South Eveleigh precinct is established on almost 14 hectares and IMC shares this precinct with a number of other businesses and enterprises. The IMC campus premises feature a unique integration of heritage architecture, a well-stocked library and state-of-the-art teaching facilities.

COURSE ADVICE AND ENROLMENT ASSISTANCE
All higher education students in Australia must formally enrol in their course, either electronically or by submitting an enrolment form. At IMC, enrolment is conducted each semester in the week before classes commence. Assistance is given throughout the process to ensure each student is successfully enrolled. Enrolment is an opportunity to meet academic administrative staff and managers from IMC and to resolve any queries or concerns.
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES PROGRAM
Social activities run throughout each semester and provide opportunities for students to enjoy a range of activities outside of class time. This is organised by the Student Services department. These types of activities create a great opportunity for students to mingle with students from other programs, share experiences, and make life-long friends.
ACADEMIC AND ENGLISH LANGUAGE SUPPORT
Continuing study assistance is provided by specially trained staff on an individual or group basis in the form of tutorials, workshops, learning groups and consultations, as well as other resources available via the library or online. Our extensive Academic support program aims to enhance academic performance by assisting students with a range of skills, such as note-taking, referencing, essay and report writing, paraphrasing, grammar, oral presentations, researching, time management and exam preparation.
COUNSELLING SERVICE
IMC Student Services provides a free and confidential counselling service. Our counsellor can help students adjust to their new environment, deal effectively with difficult personal situations and advocate on behalf of students. If students need external counselling services, IMC Student Services can connect you with LIFE SUPPORTS, and is able to refer students to meet counsellors or psychologists. TEACHING FACILITIES
IMC provides contemporary learning facilities for students. There are fully equipped lecture facilities with audio-visual projection equipment, small sized tutorial rooms and fully equipped computer laboratories with fast internet access and appropriate software. There are study areas for groups and individuals in addition to teaching rooms. Staff and students may use computers, photocopiers, television and video/DVD players, digital cameras, scanners and audio-visual projectors to facilitate successful teaching and learning.
LIBRARY FACILITIES
Students have access to library, photocopying, printing and email services. The IMC Library collection includes books, journals, audio-visual materials as well as other resources and provides workspace for students. Students undertaking the LLB also have free access to the nearby Fisher Library at the University of Sydney. Online training is available on the internet and research skills.
STUDENT COMMON AREAS AND SPORT FACILITIES
Students at our South Eveleigh campus enjoy spacious common areas indoor and outdoor, including cafes, parks and open spaces. Sport facilities such as the tennis and basketball courts are free to use.
FIRST AID FACILITIES
There is a First Aid Kit available within the Student Services Department, Level 1 Bay 16. IMC staff responds immediately to requests for first aid assistance.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
AIRPORT RECEPTION AND AIRPORT PICK-UP
New students arriving from overseas can be met at Sydney International Airport by IMC friendly staff or senior students and are transferred by car or bus to their prearranged accommodation. Students are then assisted with basic needs, such as changing money, telephoning home, buying food and any other items. Students are required to make a request for airport pick-up at least two weeks prior to arrival (conditions and charges apply). Contact our admissions staff via email for details at info@imc.edu.au.
ORIENTATION PROGRAM
IMC offers all new students orientation program which allows students to get familiar with the services, support, facilities and amenities in and around the campus. The orientation program also contains important information about student VISA requirements and living in Australia for international students.
The program will offer new students a great opportunity to know more about IMC and to gain information about where they can find support if needed. All new students, both domestic and international students are required to attend orientation program.Apart from the orientation program, IMC’s Student Services team also offers in-classroom presentations for new students. This will give the students a chance to ask any questions they may have and Student Services can talk about the services and support that is available as well as some important information about student VISAs, safety issues, and much more.

WEATHER
Australian seasons are the reverse of the seasons experienced in China, Europe, and North America. The summer months in Australia are from December to February, autumn is from March to May, winter is from June to August and spring is September to November.Sydney can be best described as ‘Sub-Tropical’. Unlike other parts of Australia, Sydney never gets too hot nor too cold. Winters are pleasant and summers are hot with a huge number of options to cool down thanks to Sydney’s location on the Australian coastline.

CLOTHING
The Australian sun can be very fierce so if you plan on arriving in the summer-time, wear plenty of high factor sunscreen and a hat. Lightweight clothing such as t-shirts, shorts, light cotton pants and dresses are desirable. Arriving during winter shouldn’t be much of a problem as the temperature is often in the high ‘teens’ and sometimes low 20s. Warm woollen sweaters and jackets will be needed to keep you reasonably comfortable.

SUN AWARENESS
The Australian sun is intense and may be harmful to your skin. To avoid being sunburnt and skin damage take the following steps:During summer, before you go outside or to the beach, apply SPF 30+, broad spectrum, water- resistant sunscreen to all areas except those that will be covered by clothing. Do not forget your sunglasses.On very hot days, make sure you take extra SPF 30+ sunscreen, a broad brimmed hat, a bottle of water, a long-sleeved shirt with a collar, and long pants if you intend on staying outdoors for an extended period of time.
BEACH SAFETY
Sydney has some of Australia’s most beautiful and popular beaches. Remember to enjoy them safely. Always swim in between the red and yellow flags, not outside them. The flags mark the safest place to swim and the area where lifesavers and life guards patrol. Raise and wave your hand if you need help when you are in the water. Feel free to speak to the lifesavers and ask them advice or report any problems.
BUSH SAFETY
Sydney and NSW have many spectacular national parks and areas of natural beauty we encourage you to explore and enjoy safely. Before you organize a trip make sure someone knows where you are going, try to go with others, preferably a guide who is familiar with the area. Wear good walking shoes, take a first aid kit, plenty of food and water. Always remember to check the weather forecast and take anything you might need if the conditions change – a jumper, rain coat etc – It is important to stay on trails and walking tracks and be very careful if you plan to swim in lakes or rivers. Do not dive in and look for signs advising of any dangers. Do not feed or touch animals. Try to stay within mobile phone range.
